PiÑa Kangkong: A New Twist to your Usual Adobong Kangkong Meal

Adobong Kangkong is one famous Pinoy Recipe that you will usually sees at the dining table of most Filipino families. Aside from the fact that “kangkong leaves” (water spinach) are very cheap and abundant in the Philippines, it is undeniably an excellent source of nutrients particularly iron.

To complete your nutrient content that your body needed, here’s a whole new twist on your usual Adobong Kangkong recipe. Just add Pineapple chunks to make it more delectable and nutritious as pineapple is an excellent source of Vitamin C that helps fight common infections.

Here’s the simple and fun way of preparing it!

Ingredients:

6 cloves garlic,
crushed 1
pcmedium onion,sliced
2 tbspoyster sauce
1 can (234 g) Del Monte Pineapple chunks drained (reserve syrup)
3 buncheskangkong, leaves and tender stalks only
1 tsptoasted sesame seeds

3 Minute Cooking Direction:



1. SAUTè half of garlic until brown. Set aside.
2. SAUTè remaining garlic and onion. Add 2 tbsp soy sauce, oyster sauce, pineapple syrup, 1/8 tsp pepper and kangkong. Simmer until almost cooked. Add DEL MONTE Fresh Cut Pineapple Tidbits. Simmer once. Top with sesame seeds and fried garlic.
